CLEAN-FLO
This large reservoir had a serious blue-green algae problem producing bad taste and odor in the drinking water. Taste and odor is gone after inversion and oxygenation of the reservoir by CLEAN-FLO. Lake top half is treated with CLEAN-FLO and bottom half is not treated with CLEAN-FLO. This small lake demonstrates the effectiveness of CLEAN-FLO products and services in the remediation and management of water. In this example diffusers and inversion / oxygenation have been employed at a great savings and with total effectiveness. This river was restored from Class 3-4 where Class 4 is “unusable for any purpose” to Class 1-2 where Class 1 is “usable for any purpose.” This hog manure lagoon demonstrates the effectiveness of CLEAN-FLO’s unique aeration in treating wastewater treatment lagoons. Odor could not be detected when standing on the edge of the lagoon. This lake had two feet of organic muck at the shoreline before CLEAN-FLO treatment. This is a pond using the CLEAN-FLO pond aeration system. Inversion and oxygenation of a bay of the ocean. This bay of the ocean was highly polluted by industrial and residential waste before CLEAN-FLO treatment. Inverting and oxygenating bays of the ocean and rivers flowing into the bays can prevent red tide from destroying important fisheries. Improve water quality, remove odors, improve fish growth, and health and prevent fish kills. This a pond that does not use the CLEAN-FLO pond aeration system.

Water Restoration with Continuous Laminar Flow Inversion

The most important part of CLEAN-FLO's water management and eutrophication reversal is called "Continuous Laminar Flow Inversion and Oxygenation." This process enables eutrophication reversal and water restoration processes to function. CLEAN-FLO invented and perfected this energy efficient water restoration process for lakes, ponds, rivers and water supply sources. Unlike ordinary diffused air systems, surface aeration, paddlewheels, hypolimnetic aerators, or propeller-aspirator aerators, CLEAN-FLO oxygenates an entire body of water from top to bottom. CLEAN-FLO water restoration oxygenates and rids the entire water supply of phosphorus, ammonia and carbon dioxide which aquatic weeds and algae need for food.

Water Management

The CLEAN-FLO water management and eutrophication reversal process duplicates spring and fall turnover of a water supply. In tropical countries, natural inversion occurs randomly with typhoons, cyclones and torrential rains. Natural inversion oxygenates the bottom water and rids the water supply of toxic gases that accumulate in stagnant water. Eutrophication is reversed and natural water restoration occur.

Water Management and Water Restoration

The CLEAN-FLO water management process increases natural inversion to several times a day or several times a week or month. The amount of inversion depends on CLEAN-FLO’s water management design to counteract eutrophication. We have over thirty-six years of water restoration experience built into our computers to tell us how many inversions are necessary for each body of water. It takes many water management factors into account, such as incoming water quality, degree of eutrophication, flow rate, retention time of the water supply, sediment, weeds, algae, fish-kills, and much more.

Water Restoration

This water restoration process carries oxygenated, toxic gas-free surface water down to the bottom of the water body. At the bottom, oxygenated water binds phosphorus and nitrogen to the sediments and kills anaerobic, often pathogenic (disease producing) bacteria that produce acids and toxic gases. The CLEAN-FLO water management process usually reduces phosphorus and nitrogen in the water supply three to twenty times as much as point-source watershed treatment can accomplish.
Continuous Laminar Flow Inversion and Oxygenation enables beneficial microorganisms to feed on bottom organic sediment. It enables aquatic insects to feed on the microorganisms, and fish to inhabit the bottom waters and feed on the insects.

Utilizing our proprietary ceramic diffusers, CLEAN-FLO moves the most water possible from the bottom to the surface without creating turbulence.

CLEAN-FLO Aerator-type System moves 480,000 gallons per HP-hour in six feet of water to 16,000,000 gallons per hour in 200 feet of water. This picture shows 3,500,000 gallons per hour being raised from 60 feet depth using 1 HP
